Books from the Shimberg Library Circulating Collection may be borrowed by current USF students, faculty, residents, and staff.

Some (but not all) bound journals from the Shimberg Library 2nd Floor may be borrowed by current USF students, faculty, residents, and staff. Look for a "Circulating Collection" stamp near the barcode inside the back cover.

Books in the Shimberg Library Reserve Collection and the Florida Blue Health Knowledge Exchange Reserve Collection may be used in-house by anyone visiting the libraries. Reserve books that have a loan period of 24-hours, 48-hours, or 7 days may only be taken out of the library by current USF Health students.

Laptops (available at both Shimberg and FBHKE) may only be borrowed by current USF students.

SonoSim kits at FBHKE may only be borrowed by Morsani College of Medicine students in the M.D. program.

Books from the Shimberg Library Circulating Collection and circulating journals from the Shimberg Library 2nd Floor may be borrowed for 45 days by all eligible borrowers.

Reserve books from both locations (Shimberg and FBHKE) may be borrowed in-house for 2 hours. Some Reserve books also allow a 24-hour, 48-hour, or 7-day loan by USF Health students only.

Laptops may be borrowed for 30 days.

SonoSim kits may be borrowed for 48 hours.

Material from the Shimberg Circulating Collection may be renewed (for 45 days per renewal), as long as the material has not been requested by another library user. Please return materials promptly if your renewal fails because someone else has requested it.

Please pay close attention to your renewal results. The system should give you a new due date for each item, or explain the reason a renewal is not possible.
