Computers are available to members of USF Health in the computer lab at Shimberg Library. Access is available by logging in using your NetID and password.

Lab assistants are trained to provide help to Lab users with basic computer problems. They are able to help start Microsoft applications, offer help with printing, and restart computers and applications that are `hung up', etc. Please call ahead to check on availability of Lab assistants, if needed. Instruction manuals for Microsoft Office software are available for reference use in the Lab.

Food and drink items are not allowed in the Computer Lab or near the open area computers. Experience has taught us that liquids and crumbs are not compatible with computer equipment. Lab assistants have been instructed to deny Lab access to students bringing in these items.

Drink containers, whether empty or sealed, will not be allowed in the Lab. Please cooperate and place these items in a book bag or on the designated table outside the Lab.

• Lab Management will not be responsible for any unsaved documents on computers left unattended. 
• Modification of hardware and software configurations is prohibited. This includes modification of system settings, configuration of printers, and modification of system software. 
• Inform lab assistant of problems with equipment. Do NOT attempt to repair equipment yourself. 
• No display of obscene images or text
• No disruptive behavior allowed
• Software license agreements and copyright laws are strictly enforced. Copying licensed software from the lab workstation hard disks or file servers is a violation of federal copyright laws and of University policy. 
• Do not let another person log in using your USF account
• Computer games are not allowed. 
• Limit of one computer per person. 
• You must logout before you leave.
